For Bubbie

On the afternoon of Friday February 26, 2010, Bubbie crossed over to the other side. My sister in-law, (Bubbie’s Mom) adopted Bubbie when she was a kitten, rescued her from a shelter. Bubbie lived to be 20 years old!

I was able to connect with Bubbie for a brief moment prior to her passing though I wasn’t anywhere near her. In fact, I was walking dogs when I heard Bubbie talking to me.   As soon as I found out Bubbie was getting ready to jump the rainbow, I directed my thoughts to her, telling her it was a privilege to know her. Immediately after, I felt my entire body go numb and I don’t know how else to describe it other than I heard Bubbie say “I didn’t live this damn long to not go on my own.” Yes, she said “damn”.  For whatever reason, Bubbie wanted me to know that she HAD to leave her body on her own.  I also could tell based on how numb I felt that Bubbie wasn’t in any pain. About an hour later, Bubbie passed away in her mom’s arms, on her own.

Peace to you, Bubbie. It was an honor connecting with you before you made your exit.

Thank you Shanny. I’m honored that she spoke to you and through you gave me the reassurance that you just described.
