Declawing Felines-The Truth (video included)

When cats are declawed, not only are the nails removed, but their toes are amputated at the last joint-which means a portion of the bone is removed.

Meet Diablo, a Siberian tiger who was declawed by his owner.

Diablo is one of many tigers rescued by Forever Wild Animal Sanctuary in Phelan, Ca.

As a result of being declawed, Diablo was showing signs of being in extreme pain.

Fortunately, Diablo was rescued by Forever Wild Animal Sanctuary in Phelan, CA and is currently undergoing several restorative surgeries to help him have a pain free future.

The purpose of the Paw Project is to educate the public about the reality involved with the declawing of felines.

The declawing of felines is an extremely painful routine and the residual effects are just as painful. Please take the time to watch the video and visit this website to learn the facts about declawing.

What about the laser surgery? A friend of mine had his house cat declawed in front, and they did that. No stitches or bandages and the cat could jump up and down almost immediately. I have a pack cat who was declawed before he came to live with us, and sometimes he acts like they are sensitive, poor kitty.
