Body & Energy Healer for Animals
I’d like to introduce you to an amazing woman who has worked with my little Green dog, Dasher.
If you have read about Dasher’s aggression in an earlier BocMeow blog, that should tell you exactly how amazing this woman is. Her name is Renate Andrasevits Reed and her business name is Windwalker Healing. She specializes in body and energy work for humans and animals.
The best way to describe what Renate does is to use her words.
Renate writes:
“Energy work is simply the laying of hands on areas one is drawn to. Energy work has its own innate wisdom. It goes where it needs to go and does what it needs to do. One cannot dictate to the body being healed the rate at which it will release the areas of insult. It will let go of what it needs to when it is ready to do so. Energy work is deeply relaxing, allows a silent, calm way to approach an ailing being that is in too much pain and no longer trusts or has been taught to fear the power of touch. Energy work can also be sent long distance. There is no limit to how [energy work] can be utilized.”
Having an open mind but knowing nothing about body and energy healing, I brought Dasher to see Renate to help him with his spine problems.
I was a bit worried and warned her that Dasher is very aggressive towards strangers. When I take Dasher to the vet, he becomes insane, has to be muzzled and stresses out to no end. Dasher is known by many vets in the South Bay as being “crazy” and vet techs always ask me to muzzle him.
When Dasher met Renate, he was relaxed, his tail was wagging.
Towards the end of his very first session, he let her know he was done through a very slight growl and she accepted that without pushing him any further. He went back a 2nd time and allowed more work to be done, with Renate’s hands not too far from Dasher’s body. He actually relaxed in front of her.
Since Renate has worked on Dasher, he has become more relaxed in his day to day life.
She worked on his neck, which has always been an issue with Dasher. Dasher will be seeing more of Renate in the future, but since his 2 visits with her, Dasher now allows me to massage his neck where as before he would not allow me to massage him due to feeling too much pain. He would become aggressive but now he comes up to me and asks for massages on a regular basis.
There is so much we can do for our pets in order to improve their quality of life.
While it’s important to take your pet to a “traditional” vet to ensure they are healthy, it’s also important to keep an open mind and consider other options. We live in a society where there are so many options to increase the quality of our life as well as our pets’ life; not being open to new ideas limits everything in our life.
